Reduce humidity and odors in any room with this 8-inch through wall ventilation fan from Broan (model 509). It’s ideal for eliminating cooking fumes from kitchens and humidity from laundry rooms as well as for use in workshops and rec rooms. The 509 requires wiring installation to a wall switch, and it features an efficient operation with a durable polymeric fan blade and permanently lubricated, thermally protected motor. It moves air at 180 cubic feet per minute (CFM), and it produces a 6.5-sone level of sound.

This fan has a white polymeric grille that can be painted to match your home decor, and its rugged steel housing also has an electrically-bonded epoxy paint finish that can be painted to match the outdoor style of your home. For use with 8-inch round ducts, the housing adjusts to fit walls from 4-1/2 to 9-1/2 inches thick, and it features a backdraft damper. An aluminum filter is sold separately.
