The step towards perfection The new Alphacool AGB comes in three different models. You can either connect a Laing DDC, the Alphacool DC-LT or the Laing D5/Alphacool VPP655 at the backplate depending on the model which you use. The brushed plate provides an optical finishing touch which is underlined by the high quality processing. The front consists of a scretch-secure soft-touch surface painted in black-matt. The Eisfach is mounted in two of the front 5,25″ bays which provides a good overview of the container and the fill level is easily being checked through the lighted window at the back. Additionally, the Alphacool logo in the front can be lighted by connecting the 3-pin connector with a power source. A lot of details complement the first impression! Two 1/4″ holes at the top side are available for the first filling. To refill you can simply remove and extract the fillport in the front and two 1/4″ holes at the bottom side facilitate the draining of the liquid. There are two lighting modules at the right hand side at the back of the container behind the window for 5mm LEDs. This provides a unique opportunity for personalised lighting and optic. Further two holes at the left hand side provide additional opportunities to fill or drain the liquid. The last two 1/4″ threads are used to fill or drain the container. A Bubble Down module has been placed behind the inlet to prevent turbulences that could lead air into the watercircle. Mounting of one or two Alphacool DC-LT Ceramic 12 Volt pumps is possible with this reservoir. By default it is shipped prepared for installation of one pump. To install a second pump, simply remove the Plexi sealing cap which is installed by default, This can be done easily be removing two screws, and you are set to mount a second DC-LT. Both pumps are now operating serially, still offering the quiet operation as with one pump, but with more performance. The front of the reservoir, the component which mainly remains visible after installation, is just beautiful to look at: Plexi, Acetal and a fill level indicator in combination with the typical Alphacool copper create a truly elegant design. Lighting is the next step towards a perfect system: At the rear of the reservoir, four 5mm LEDs can be inserted.

Phobya’s Slot-in reservoir with many technical innovations and great details. The main function of a reservoir in a water cooling loop is to offer space for expansion of the coolant, deaerate the loop and also help with initial filling. This is where the innovations from the developers at Phobya comes into play: An internal channel system helps with deaeration to ensure all air bubbles being removed from the coolant. Even with very powerful pumps this reservoir is able to remove the air bubbles from the system. The filling of the reservoir can be done easily and quickly by removing the 3/8″ screw plug after pulling the reservoir out of the drive bay. We recommend using a funnel for filling. An even easier solution is connecting a Fillport which will allow filling without pulling the reservoir from the case. The small details are what makes this reservoir great: Five G1/4″ threads give many connection possibilities for maximum versatility. The optical aspect of a watercooling is also very important! Especially in large enclosures there are usually too many 5.25″ drive bays. With this handy reservoir they can now be used and will look even better to make the front of your system even more beautiful. A second thin Plexi plate on the actual reservoir front protects the black middle plate with the words “PHOBYA”. Besides the Phobya inscription a fill level indicator is integrated to allow checking of the fill level at the front of the case. Especially with coloured coolant the fill level indicator provides a beautiful effect and sets a unique accent. This effect can be improved even further when using the four 5mm LED holes at the rear for unique lighting effects inside of the reservoir. The reservoir is shipped with all parts required for mounting. As usually only two of the five connection threads are used, three black nickel plated screw plugs are included.
