How did you come up with the idea for this product?

A love of good beer, and a desire the make the experience better. We’re beer lovers living in a beer region. Who knows which came first, the love or the beer, but as engineers we recognized the need for a better solution. We decided to focus our skills and efforts on this endeavor.

What makes your product special?

After testing all the available options, we realized nobody had cracked the code on a pressurized growler that works. So we designed the uKeg: It’s easy to use, with an automatic regulator cap and integrated CO2, variable carbonation from zero (off) up to 15 psi, and a dispensing tap so you can easily pour beer without removing the cap. It also has a liquid sight glass, an ergonomic handle, and it’s easy to clean.

What has been the best part of your startup experience?

Ideas are fun and creative, and turning those ideas into high quality products is challenging. We’ve focused our deep engineering and design experience to produce a high quality product. It takes a lot of work and coordination to get it right, and we’re proud when our beer-loving customers are happy.

Pkbrtp50.5 beer dispenser

Coldbreak jockey boxes are built specifically for the craft beer industry and designed so your beer has 100 percent contact with stainless steel. All shanks, coils, ferrules, and faucets are all made from stainless steel. Beverage line inputs are located on the back of the jockey box, allowing a clean look on the pour side. The Johnson Control’s A421 digital temperature controller is great for the brewers kegerator or keezer. You can use this to keep your beer or wine at exactly the temperature you like it. Excellent for fermenting lagers as well. The A421 Series controls are single stage, electronic temperature controls with a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) output relay. The controls feature an adjustable backlit LCD for viewing the temperature and status of other functions, and a three-button touchpad for setup and adjustment. An LED indicates the On/Off status of the output relay. The A421 control is 120 VAC. The A421 controls provide heating or cooling control, sensor offset, temperature setback, adjustable anti-short cycle delay, and a restricted user adjustment mode. The temperature units can be displayed in °F or °C. The temperature adjustment range is -40 to 212°F or -40 to 100°C. The A421 automatically changes from heating and cooling.

This mini dehumidifier has been design to adsorb moisture from small enclosed areas (maximum area: 10’x 10′). It will help protect clothes and valuables from the damaging effects of mold/mildew and moisture rot. It is 100% renewable and needs no power to operate. Just hang the eva-dry unit in a closet, or you can place it in other small enclosed spaces, and it will start to adsorb moisture. There are no batteries required or cords to plug in, the unit works without power. There is an indicator window with special “moisture meter crystals” that change from orange (when dry) to green (when wet) to indicate when the unit needs to be “renewed”. The unit will adsorb approximately 8 to 10 ounces of moisture (depending on humidity levels this should take between 3 – 8 weeks). Once the moisture has been adsorbed it cannot leak or spill. This unit uses a specialized engineered crystallized silica gel that is odorless, non-toxic and completely safe. When the indicator crystals turn Green it is time to “re-new” the unit. Simply remove the unit from where it is adsorbing moisture and plug it into a power outlet.
