This respirator is NIOSH approved for respiratory protection against certain organic vapors up to ten times the permissible exposure limit (PEL). Half Facepiece respirator may be used in a variety of workplace applications, including petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, construction, transportation, and electronics. This disposable respirator assembly offers greater convenience by reducing the need for long-term maintenance. This half facepiece respirator is an ideal choice for intermittent use.

NIOSH, a Federal government regulatory agency, has tested and approved the 5000 Series to help reduce breathing certain airborne contaminants. The cartridge installed in this respirator assembly has been assigned the NIOSH color code of “Black.” This respiratory protection system is not for use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH).

This facepiece combines comfort, durability, and stability with a firm, lightly textured silicone faceseal and strong body construction. The proprietary quick latch design offers an easy, one-hand touch drop-down mechanism for putting the facepiece on and taking it off while moving in and out of contaminated areas. The quick latch also eliminates the need to remove a hardhat or faceshield when lowering or raising the respirator. When properly fitted and used with approved 3M cartridges and filters, this respirator helps provide respiratory protection at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL).
